Termite Treatments
Targeted treatment is selected according to the termite species, affected area, and extent of activity found during the inspection.
Get a thorough termite inspection in Sacramento to identify active termites, visible damage, and conditions that may contribute to termite activity. We inspect properties across Sacramento, Placer, El Dorado, Yolo, and Sutter counties and explain what was found, where it was found, and what should happen next.
Quick Overview
A termite inspection is a visual examination of the readily accessible areas of a property for termites, related wood damage, and conditions that can support activity.
The inspection helps determine which termite may be involved, where evidence is visible, and how much of the property appears affected at the time of the visit. When the evidence allows, it can also help distinguish current activity from older damage.
Moisture, wood-to-soil contact, deteriorated exterior wood, and blocked access are noted because they can affect both the inspection and the recommendation.
INSPECTION AT A GLANCE
01
Visible termite evidence, related wood damage, entry points, and conditions connected to activity.
02
Findings explained clearly, with the recommended next step when work is needed.
03
A general inspection for a property concern or a WDO inspection for a real estate transaction.
What’s Checked
We inspect the accessible areas of your property where termite activity and wood damage are most likely to appear, from the foundation and crawlspace to attic framing, exterior trim, attached structures, and interior woodwork. Along the way, we also note moisture issues, wood-to-soil contact, and other conditions that may make the property more vulnerable to termites.
Exterior wood, siding, fascia, trim, and other accessible components are checked for visible termite activity, deterioration, and conditions that may expose the structure to wood-destroying pests.
Accessible interior wood around baseboards, trim, windows, doors, and other areas is examined for visible evidence of termite activity or damage.
Visible evidence and accessible conditions present at the time of the visit.
The type of inspection you need depends on the property and the reason for the inspection. Fuller Termite provides both general termite inspections for property owners and Real Estate / WDO inspections for buyers, sellers, and real estate transactions throughout the Sacramento area.
FOR PROPERTY OWNERS
For property owners who want a closer look at suspected termite activity, visible damage, or conditions around the property before deciding what to do next.
For buyers, sellers, and agents involved in real estate transactions that require a formal Wood Destroying Pests and Organisms (WDO) inspection and report. California WDO reporting can address termites as well as other wood-destroying pests, organisms, damage, and conditions that may lead to infestation or infection.

Certain signs around the property can point to termite activity. An inspection is worth scheduling when you notice changes in the wood, find evidence around the home, or have a specific reason to question what may be happening behind the surface.
01
02
Small piles of hard, sand-like pellets below wood trim, window frames, or other wood surfaces can indicate drywood termite activity.
03
Narrow soil-like tubes along foundations, crawlspaces, piers, or other surfaces are a common sign of subterranean termites traveling between the soil and structure.
04
05
06
Blistering, small openings, recurring deterioration, or changes around wood trim and fascia may have several causes, but they are worth having professionally checked.
Sacramento-area properties can be affected by more than one type of termite, and identifying the type of activity present is an important part of the inspection. We look for the evidence each species leaves behind and where that activity is occurring within or around the structure.
Subterranean termites live in soil and need moisture. Mud tubes and activity near the ground are common clues. Treatment typically focuses on the soil and the points where termites reach the structure.
Drywood termites can live inside wood without soil contact. Pellets, discarded wings, or small openings may be visible. Localized findings can be evaluated for targeted treatment, while broader activity may lead to a fumigation recommendation.
A termite inspection is only useful when the findings are accurate, clearly explained, and backed by experience. Fuller Termite provides thorough inspections with direct communication from the first appointment through any treatment or repair recommendations that follow.
Your inspection is handled directly by the owner. You can ask questions and get answers from the person who examined the property.
You are shown what was found, where the concern is, and which items need attention. Recommendations are explained before any work is approved.
When further work is needed, the same company can handle termite treatment, fumigation, and wood repairs without sending you elsewhere.

Ryan Fuller is so honest that he will give you the best advice for your situation and not his pocketbook. He could have made substantially more money by encouraging me to do ALL his recommended repairs and he did not. Instead, he advised me the best route for me financially and for possibly a quicker sale of my home. (Bottom line, he could've made $10k plus, and we are only doing $1,400 per Ryan's recommendation. Quite the savings I would say!) Honestly, his integrity and work ethic are superior, and I would highly encourage you to give him a call for all of your pest needs. He is very responsive and really works with your schedule. I truly can't give this guy enough kudos with all the help he has been through my home purchase and now a home sale. The home I bought needed quite a bit of work, including to be tented for wood boring beetles and sprayed for subterranean termites, and he saved me over $3,500 on that work! Really, he is a gem. I will refer no one else. Ryan is the man to call!Posted on Google![]()

Ryan is amazing! I was selling my house and his company was hired by the buyer to come and do an inspection. He found problems unknown to me (bummer) but also provided solutions (yay). He completed the required work on time and on budget! As someone who has remodeled several rooms- trust me- that RARELY happens!!! Ryan did beautiful, quality work! Thank you Ryan!

If treatment, fumigation, or repairs are recommended, we explain the options, what should be addressed, and what can happen next based on the condition of the property.
The inspection should give you enough information to decide what happens next. Work is considered after the termite type, visible evidence, and affected accessible areas have been reviewed.
01
Drywood and subterranean termites live differently and leave different evidence. The termite type changes the treatment conversation.
02
Visible signs and accessible conditions are reviewed to understand where activity appears and which wood or entry points may be involved.
03
The evidence determines the next step, which may be monitoring, targeted treatment, fumigation, repair, or no immediate work.

Termite Inspection FAQs
Damage by itself does not always mean termites are currently active. During the inspection, we look for live termites, fresh evidence such as mud tubes, pellets or swarm activity, and other signs that help distinguish current activity from previous damage.
We show you where activity or damage was found and explain what should be addressed. If treatment or wood repairs are recommended, Fuller Termite can provide those services and walk you through the appropriate options for the property.
Yes, accessible crawlspaces, underfloor areas, attics, roof framing, eaves, and other accessible structural areas can be included in the inspection. Access conditions at the property determine which areas can be physically inspected.
Yes. We inspect for signs associated with both subterranean and drywood termites, including where the activity is occurring and the evidence left behind. Identifying the termite type is important because treatment recommendations can differ significantly.
No. Fumigation is not automatically recommended whenever termite damage is found. The termite type, location of the activity, and how widespread the infestation appears all help determine the appropriate treatment.
Yes. Previous treatment does not prevent a new inspection. Let us know about any past termite treatments or repairs you are aware of so we can consider that history while evaluating current conditions.
You do not necessarily need to stay with the inspector, but we will need access to the areas being inspected. If you have noticed a specific problem, showing us the area before the inspection begins can also be helpful.
Schedule it as soon as you notice signs such as swarmers, discarded wings, pellets, mud tubes, or unexplained wood damage. Confirming the source early can help you understand the extent of the problem before additional damage occurs.
